About Me

Nate was born and raised in the frozen tundra of Green Bay, Wisconsin and began making abstract paintings in his early twenties. In 2009 he made his way out to Oregon, where the mountains and natural beauty inspired him to go back to school and study art. 5 years later he earned a bachelors degree in Art Practices from Portland State University, focusing primarily on painting and sculpture. His years in Portland were mostly spent painting mountain landscapes and various nerdy pop culture pieces. In 2022 he moved back to Wisconsin switched mostly to using oil paint and focusing on plein air painting. He also still paints the occasional abstract or pop culture piece when the muse pushes him in that direction.
