This book of rhymes is intended for puddle jumpers, young hikers, nature enthusiasts, and children learning about water’s role in the environment. It is filled with beautiful illustrations inspired by the Pacific Northwest. The character, Theo Rio, is a relatable city boy introduced in this first book of the Theo Rio series. He guides the reader through some of his favorite experiences playing in and observing water. He invites kids to ponder the different ways water impacts the world around us.

For ages 0-9. Theo Rio Loves the Water can be read by beginning readers. It is suitable as a read aloud book for younger children, assisting in their early language development and to peak their interest in nature.
